GPIT CSE Festival @ KUET

GPIT was the Title sponsor of the CSE festival held at KUET, Khulna on the 29 -30 June, 2012. The initiative was taken by Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) CSE Association and the focus areas of the CSE Festivals were: Programming Contest (best 3 teams awarded), Project Fair (best 3 projects from each of four batches awarded), Poster Exhibition on Innovative Project Ideas (best 3 ideas awarded) and Seminars.

 

Day 1, 29 June,2012:

 

 

The festival started off with the inspirational speeches by the special guests and the Chief Guest. Afterwards, the seminars started and went on till mid day. The topics of the seminars included Daak diye jai – shombhabonar kormojogge shobar amontron.(I Keep on Calling: Welcoming Everyone to the World of Prosperity), A journey from beginner to expert, How FPGA reshaped the digital design industry, Information security and ethical hacking: to protect, not attack.

Later on, there was Project and Poster Show at the KUET Auditorium, Programming Contest and also an arrangement of Friendly football match from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the KUET playground. Finally the first day of the CSE Festival ended with the Gala Dinner at the KUET Auditorium.

Day 2, 30 June:

 

The Second day of the event was filled with Workshops, seminars and finally ended up with the award giving ceremony. The workshops were based on Building advanced research & educational network in Bangladesh, JAVA technology – exploring limitless opportunity covering and Sudoku challenges. On the next day, the topics of the seminar included The world is being driven by software, who’s driving it?, IT industry & contribution to develop local technology, Research in the computing industry and CSE in telecommunication industry. Finally the event ended with the Award Giving Ceremony where Sayeed Ahmed, Head of Sale, Public Sector, GPIT was one of the Chief Guests.

 

GPIT always nurtures innovation and hence motivating the young talents to reach their desired goals. CSE Festival was  indeed yet another step towards that.
